Frequent Flyer...

I just thought Maddox looked so cute today in his Skywest shirt and Nikes. We are flying to Salt Lake today so I put Maddox in the shirt he received as a gift from Skywest when he was born. It says "Future Flyer" but I think he is more of a frequent flyer. I love this chunky little boy!

Bryce Canyon Half Marathon...

I think Mike was regretting riding his Bike to Bryce because he was tired after the race.

We had to stop and see Bryce Canyon while we were there. We didn't do any hiking everyone was too tired.
Jenna, John, Nikki, Mike and Brad ( Mike's friend) post race picture. I think they look like an 80s rock band. Nikki bought them all headbands and wrist bands for the race.

everyone one crossing the finishline
Mike and his dad and sister ran in the Bryce Canyon Half marathon this weekend. None of them could walk the next day it was great.

One month and new obsession...

Maddox turn one month yesterday! He weighs 9lbs. 10 oz. I think he looks so much bigger lately. I can't believe it has been a month already, it has gone by way to fast. He is still a typical baby he eat, sleeps, and poops.
Mikes is gone this week to Salt Lake City for a work training. My friend Rindy came up from St. George to hang out yesterday and to keep me company while Mike is gone. We made more shirts this time I made them for Kooper. Kooper has this obsession with Spiderman, he has a Spiderman shirt his grandma bought him because I would never buy him one and he loves it and wants to wear it every day. It is dirty and looking like it needs to go in the trash so I made him TWO new spiderman shirts to replace the old one. He also is so spoiled he got new spiderman boxer briefs which may have been mistake I am afraid he will want to wear them everyday as well. Here is a picture of him pretending to be spiderman. This is why You don't buy kids clothes with characters on them, they become obsessed.

Swimming lessons...

Swimming all by himself

Kooper patiently waiting for his teacher on the platform in the water.
This is what Maddox did every day while Kooper swam.

Kooper just finished level 1 swimming lessons. He only had one other little girl in his class, so he had lots of one on one with the teacher. Kooper has done so well this year with swimming I am so proud of him. He is a little scary because he is so fearless, he was constantly getting remarks about how good he was and how fearless he is by lifeguards and other parents. Now Kooper is ready to swim at Grandpa and Grandmas pool and at Bear Lake.

sweet onsies...

Maddox never spits up I think we captured his only spit up with this picture and of course I didn't get a good one without spit up.

Jennie's son Will and Maddox are a month and a half apart. Our sons are so cool in there new name brand onsies. I love how Will is smiling and Maddox is scowling.

Last weekend we spent a few nights at our friends Tyson and Jennies house in Ogden. Jennie had this great idea to make our own onsies after talking about how expensive cool baby onsies cost. So we spent most of our time making these and I love them. Thanks Jennie for the great idea!

I keep calling Maddox Kooper, I do it all the time. I have caught Mike doing this too. Does anyone else do this? Or is it just me? Maddox is kind of a hard name , Kooper was much easier to say.

Kooper and Maddox...

Maddox on top1 week

Kooper 1 week

4th of July ...

Maddox all ready for church. My friend Jennie and I found these cute Iron on ties. I made one for my little sisters baby and decided I liked it so much I went back to the store and bought another one for Maddox.

We had our own firework show at Grandma and Grandpa DeRoests. Kooper was such a fish and literally swam all day and we thought he was too tired to take out to watch the big fireworks.

Hair cut

it looked worse in real life.

Yesterday I was feeding the baby and asked Kooper to run upstairs and grab his hair gel so I could do it. He was upstairs for a while but when he came down he had a huge grin on his face and said Ta Da! I did my hair. He had a couple big chunks of hair missing he had found the scissors and gave himself a little haircut.( I thought only girls did that) He was so proud of himself. Later when I went upstairs I saw the hairgel sitting on the floor, he almost made it out of the bathroom but was distracted by those shiny scissors. So I tried to gel it and see if I could mask the fat chunks missing but in the end we ended up shaving it. I know he is a boy and it's not that big of a deal but I really liked his hair. Kooper has coarse hair and it sticks straight up and and it always drive me crazy. I loved his long hair on top, luckily his hair grows fast.
